On June 1, the medical team of Shanghai First People’s Hospital took over the baton from Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in the square cabin of Shanghai New National Expo. The handover of the two teams also included the Wuhan experience of the Zhongnan Medical Team.

On May 31, the first members of the Shanghai-aided medical team from Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University completed the rescue mission and returned to Han. The medical team achieved zero deaths of patients, zero infection and zero isolation of medical staff in Shanghai. follow suit.

Li Zhiqiang, vice president of the medical team of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, introduced that professional hospital feeling and logistical support are the core forces to ensure the safety of medical staff.

Gong Rui is a neurosurgeon at Zhongnan Hospital. He used to be the first batch of volunteers to support the frontline when Wuhan was closed. This time, as a member of the Shanghai Aid Medical Team, he went to Shanghai as the team leader of the logistics support team. He and the deputy team leader Peng Lu, as well as Tan Miao, Rong Mengling, Shi Luqi, Zhang Pingjuan, Lu Yushun, Li Shaoxing and other members of the logistics support team are not only responsible for the daily life of patients and medical staff, medical supplies, maintenance of water and electricity, equipment, and security in the cabin. Work security coordination, as well as logistical material support for the 207 Hubei medical team members stationed in the hotel, and preparations for epidemic prevention-related materials such as nucleic acid collection by the medical team. The material support work is complicated and needs to coordinate multiple links including in-cabin, extra-cabin, shelter management departments, resident hotels, resident governments, caring enterprises, volunteers, etc., as well as the overall distribution, recording and distribution of materials. All these were accomplished on the premise of the selfless dedication and cooperation of every member of the entire logistics material team. Nucleic acid samples are often transferred to the laboratory in the early morning. In order to ensure the safety of the medical team, Peng Lu often has to go to the scene in the early morning to confirm whether the nucleic acid samples have been successfully transferred before falling asleep. Each member of the logistics material team needs to undertake the work and living needs of other team members in addition to completing their daily work.
